SCALLOPED POTATOES

Ingredients:


4 cups thinly sliced raw potatoes -- (about 5 medium potatoes)

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

2 tablespoons flour

3/4 cup sliced onion

2 tablespoons butter

1 1/2 cups milk -- heated
 

Preparation / Directions:


Heat oven to 350 F. Grease a shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Spread half the potatoes over bottom. Combine salt, pepper, nutmeg, and flour. Sprinkle potatoes with half of this mixture and all the onion. Dot with half the butter. Add remaining potatoes, the rest of the flour mixture, and the remaining 1 tbls. butter. Pour hot milk over top. Cover and bake 65 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer, until potatoes are fork tender.
