Hot German Potato Salad 2

Preparation / Directions:

10 medium Potatoes -- cooked and sliced 6 slices bacon -- diced 1 Onion -- chopped 1/4 cup Water 2 tablespoons flour 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon Celery seed 3/4 cup Water 1/2 cup Vinegar ground pepper to taste In a large pot, cook the onion in 1/4 cup water over medium heat until tender . fry bacon till done. Stir in flour, and celery seed. Mix well until smooth. Stir in water, sugar and vinegar. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Add onions. Add potatoes, stirring carefully. Heat through. Serve hot. In bowl, layer potatoes then veggies then sauce and repeat.... HELPFUL HINTS: To cook potatoes, wash, desired. Cut into large chunks. Cook in small amount of boiling water until tender, about 30 minutes. Drain. Cool slightly and slice thinly.
