I have been cooking Pork Chops by this simple method for more than 50 years. We love them and use this recipe often! Serve with baked sweet potatoes, steamed green beans, cinnamon apple rings, baked cornbread and iced tea. ENJOY!

Ingredients:

4 chops center cut Pork Chops (medium thickness)

1 teaspoon Table or Sea Salt

1 teaspoon Black Pepper

1/3 cup Apple Cider Vinegar

1/2 cup Water (more if needed)

Preparation / Directions:

Salt and Pepper chops well on each side. Set aside.

Heat over high heat, a heavy 12 inch skillet or Dutch Oven for which you have a well fitting lid.

Add pork chops to pan when pan is hot and sear chops over medium high heat on each side until lightly browned.

Reduce heat to medium low. Add Apple Cider Vinegar. Allow to cook a couple of minutes. Add water. Cover pan with lid. Allow to cook for about 10 minutes. Remove lid. Turn chops. Add water if needed. Cover tightly again and cook another 10 minutes or longer until chops are fork tender.

ENJOY!
