Preparation / Directions:
Crust: 1. Sift together flour and salt. Cut in shortening and butter until small granules form
2. Add water. Mix gently until mixture forms a ball. Chill for 15 minutes.
3. Roll out dough to fit a 9 inch pie dish. Crimp edges.
4. pre bake crust at 425F for 7 minutes.
Filling: 5. Beat eggs, sugar, salt, melted butter, corn syrup and vanilla. Stir in macadamia nuts, coconut and chocolate chips.
6. Pour filling into pre baked crust.
7. Bake at 375F for 45 minutes.
8. Cool completely before serving. Serve pie with vanilla ice cream if desired.
