Sauteed Mushrooms and Onions

Ingredients:


2 Tablespoons vegetable oil

2 Tablespoons butter or margarine

1 pound white mushrooms or (shittake, oyster and white mushrooms) sliced

4 medium shallots, peeled and sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 Teaspoon Salt and pepper to taste
 

Preparation / Directions:


Place mushrooms in a saucepan, cover with water, bring to a boil and simmer 2 minutes. Remove from heat and pour into a strainer and rinse under cold water until all dirt is gone. Drain well. Place all ingredients in a saucepan and saute on low heat for about ten minutes, stirring every so often. Serve with steak, Thanksgiving turkey, etc.
