CHOCOLATE CHIP-PEANUT CRISPS

Ingredients:


1 1/2 cups Packed brown sugar

1/2 cup Margarine or shortening

1/2 cup Shortening

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons Vanilla

3 cups All-purpose flour*

2 cups Salted peanuts

6 ounces semisweet Chocolate chips

1/2 teaspoon Baking soda

1/4 teaspoon Salt
 

Preparation / Directions:


* if using self-rising flour omit Baking soda and salt. Keep shelled peanuts fresh by storing in an airtight container in the. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheet lightly. Mix brown sugar, margarine, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto cookie sheet. Flatten with greased bottom of glass dipped into sugar. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown; cool.
