CHOCOLATE BELGIAN WAFFLES

Ingredients:


2 cups Variety baking mix

1 cup Milk

1/3 cup Chocolate-flavored syrup

2 tablespoons Vegetable oil

1 large Egg

1/2 cup Chopped hazelnuts -- toasted

---Hazelnut cream

1 cup Whipping (heavy) cream

2 tablespoons Sugar

2 tablespoons Hazelnut liqueur
 

Preparation / Directions:


Chocolate Belgian Waffles with Hazelnut Cream. Heat Belgian waffle iron (regular waffle iron can be used; bake time may be slightly shorter). Beat all ingredients except hazelnuts and Hazelnut Cream in medium bowl until smooth. Stir in hazelnuts. Pour batter from cup or pitcher onto center of hot waffle iron. Bake about 5 minutes or until steaming slows. Carefully remove waffle.While waffles are baking, prepare Hazelnut Cream. Serve with waffles and additional chopped toasted hazelnuts if desired. .HAZELNUT CREAMBeat all ingredients in chilled bowl until stiff.
