Bean Pot Lentils

Ingredients:


1 1/2 cups water

1 cup lentils

1/2 cup onion -- chopped

1/2 teaspoon salt

16 ounces tomatoes -- cut up

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon chili sauce

1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

2 slices bacon -- cooked and crumbled
 

Preparation / Directions:


In saucepan bring water, lentils, onion, and salt to boiling. Simmer covered, 30 minutes. Transfer to a crockpot; stir in undrained tomatoes, sugar, chili sauce, and mustard. Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 8 to 10 hours. Uncover; cook on high-heat setting for 30 minutes. Stir; top with bacon.
