Popcorn From The Jell-O

Ingredients:


8 cups popcorn popped -- 1-bag of microwave butter flavor

1/4 cup butter

3 tablespoons light corn syrup

1/2 cup granulated sugar -- or packed brown sugar

1 package jello -- any flavor
 

Preparation / Directions:


Heat butter and corn syrup. add sugar and jello when butter is melted. bring to boil over medium heat. reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes. IN A WELL GREASED DISH with a WELL GREASED SPOON...slowly pour sugar mixture over popcorn while tossing to coat evenly. spread on a WELL GREASED COOKIE SHEET and bake 10 minutes at 300 degrees. let cool and break into pieces. Make several batches of different flavors ....when cool, mix together for "rainbow" popcorn. or make special holiday colored popcorn!!!! Halloween hint: put popcorn in clear plastic gloves [not latex kind] use candy corn in fingertips for "fingernails"[inside the glove]...i buy novelty plastic holiday rings for decoration[outside the glove] tie up wrist end with ribbon. Kids go crazy for this!
