Ingredients:


4 teaspoons tur gram -- (toor / toovar dal)

4 medium red chiles

1 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 teaspoon salt -- to taste
 

Preparation / Directions:


1. Heat the frying pan for half a minute. 2. Roast tur gram and chiles in it, lightly. Remove. Cool. 3. Roast cumin seeds in the pan, stir, and remove at once. Cool. 4. Grind all the ingredients along with salt to make a soft, fine powder. Serve with idli or rice, and ghee.
