Buttered Pecan Ice Cream

Ingredients:


1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

2 cups marshmallows

1 can condensed milk

6 large eggs

2 cups buttered -- slightly

1 cup salted -- toasted pecans

1 quart whole milk

3 cans evaporated milk -- (13 fl. oz.)

1 tablespoon pure vanilla
 

Preparation / Directions:


Brown 1/2 cup sugar in heavy saucepan. As the sugar browns, stir in 1/4 cup water and cook into a caramel syrup. Add the other cup of sugar. In the meantime, beat the eggs, and the whole milk and put on to cook. As it cooks, add the caramel syrup and cook over slow heat until it coats the spoon. Add marshmallows an stir until melted. Add all other ingredients and freeze as usual.
