Baked Ham And Banana Rolls

Ingredients:


6 slices ham

1 teaspoon made mustard

6 medium firm bananas -- peeled

2 cups cheese sauce (recipe follows)

---White Sauce

1 ounces butter or margarine

1 ounces flour

1/2 Pint milk -- (US 1/1/4 cups)

1 teaspoon salt and pepper
 

Preparation / Directions:


Spreadham slices with mustard and wrap each banana in ham. Put the ham and banana rolls into a shallow ovenproof dish, pour the sauce over and bake in a moderately hot oven for 10 min. WHITE SAUCE Melt the butter in a sauce pan, stir in the flour to a smooth paste and cook for 1 min. Remove from heat and slowly add milk stirring all the time. Bring to the boil, stirring continuously and boil for 2 minutes. Season to taste. VARIATIONS: CHEESE SAUCE: Add to basic white sauce: 3 oz. grated cheese and 2 egg yolk. Prep time: 5 min. Cooking time: 15 min. Oven temp: 376 degrees To serve: 6
