Honey Barbecue Baste

Ingredients:


1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1/4 cup minced onion

1 clove garlic

8 ounces tomato sauce

1/3 cup honey

3 tablespoons vinegar

2 tablespoons dry sherry

1 teaspoon dry mustard

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
 

Preparation / Directions:


Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat until hot. Add onion and garlic; cook and stir until onion is tender. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer 20 minutes. Serve over grilled chicken, pork, spareribs, salmon or hamburgers. Yield: 1 Cup
