Grilled Italian Pork Burger

Ingredients:

1 pound lean ground pork
2 tablespoons red wine
1 clove garlic -- crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons crushed fennel seed
1 teaspoon salt and pepper -- to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
 

Preparation / Directions:

Italian seasonings make the all-American burger even better. In a medium bowl, mix together the pork, red wine, garlic, fennel seed, salt and pepper. Pat gently into 4 patties. Brush each patty lightly with olive oil. Place directly over hot coals on a kettle-style grill. Close grill hood and grill for 5 minutes, turn and cook on second side for 4 minutes. Serve with grilled Italian bread, if desired.
