Ingredients:

1 piece fat drippings

1 cup water

2 tablespoons fat for each cup gravy

1 cup water for each 2 Tablespoons flour

2 pieces gingersnaps - crushed

Preparation / Directions:

Before adding vegetables, pour fat drippings from roasting pan into bowl. Add 1 cup water to pan; boil. Remove well-browned bits left in pan (adds flavor to gravy). Spoon fat from drippings into a skillet, allowing 2 tbls. fat for each cup gravy desired. Stir in equal amounts of flour; cook until flour is lightly browned. Add 1 c. water for each 2 tbls. flour, using water from roasting pan. Crush gingersnaps to a powder by rolling with rolling pin. Stir and cook for 5 minutes until gravy is smooth and thickened. This will give the gravy an additional rich brown flavor, and surprise you because it is so good.
