Caramel Apples

Ingredients:

2 1/2 pieces caramel candies -- cut into small pieces
1/2 tablespoon dark or light corn syrup
1 large tart apple -- cored and cut into bite-sized pieces
 

Preparation / Directions:

In a 1-cup measure or similar microwave-safe bowl, combine the caramels and corn syrup. Microwave on high power for 30 seconds. Stir and microwave for 15 additional seconds, or until the caramels are completely melted. Stir well, and mix in the apple pieces, stirring to coat them with syrup. Cool slightly. Divide into two servings. Eat with a fork. 2 servings/Serving size: 1/2 apple
