Best buttercream frosting

This is a wonderful buttercream recipe that we used to ice and decorate a yellow cake,its very creamy,and the aroma and the taste is outstanding!


1/2 cup butter,slightly softened
1/2 cup shortening,preferably Crisco butter flavor
5 cups siftened powdered sugar
3 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preparation / Directions:

First,cream together the butter and shortening until combined in large mixing bowl.Add Vanilla and then Slowly add powdered sugar while beating at medium speed with electric mixer until smooth.Then add in milk and beat at high speed until it reaches desired creamy consistency.
