Broken Fish Trap Soup

2 cups fish stock
2 medium lime leaves
1 piece lemon grass piece
1/2 teaspoon ginger
3 tablespoons nouc nam*
1 medium lemon
1/4 pound shrimp
1/4 pound oysters
1/4 pound crab meat
1/4 pound fish pieces
1/4 pound scallops
3/4 cup coconut milk
3 medium red chili peppers -- crushed

Preparation / Directions:

* Vietnamese fish sauce Chop lime leaves. Juice lemon. Heat stock and add lime leaves, lemon grass, ginger, nouc nam and lemon juice. Bring to a low boil, stirring well. Add seafood and coconut milk. Simmer at just below boiling until seafood is cooked, stirring constantly. Add chiles at the last moment. Serve with lime wedges and steamed rice.
