Ingredients:


1 1/2 cups sugar

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup seeded raisins

2 large egg whites

1 tablespoon grated orange rind

3/4 teaspoon baking powder
 

Preparation / Directions:


Boil sugar and water wihtout stirring until the syrup will spin a thread; add the chopped raisins and boil for a few seconds, then pour over the stiffly beaten whites of eggs and beat until smooth. Add the orange rind and baking powder and whip thoroughly.
