2 Cup flour
3 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon lard or Crisco
3/4 Cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation / Directions:

Mix as for baking powder biscuits. Drop by tablespoons on top of boiling meat broth, sauerkraut, or stewed tomatoes. Cover immed-iately; keep covered for 15 min. After boiling 5 min., reduce heat to a medium boil to avoid it sticking to the bottom of the pan.
