1 quart canned whole tomatoes or 2 lg. cans store bought tomatoes.
1/2 stick butter
1 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste
1 can biscuits, 8 or 10 count

Preparation / Directions:

Empty canned tomatoes into 2 qt. sauce pan. You may wish to add 1/4 to 1/2 cup water to tomatoes. Add butter, salt and pepper. Place on the stove and turn bunner on medium to high and bring to boil slowly. In mean time roll out each biscuit until thin and cut up into 1 inch squares. When tomatoes come to boil start adding buiscuit squares, stirring with spatula every time you have added about 10 buiscuit squares. Turn down to a slow simmer for about 10 min. for dumplings to cook.
