baked banana and caramel sauce

whole bananas baked and covered in a delicious caramel sauce


100 grams butter
2/3 cup cream
2/3 cup brown sugar
4 medium bananas
1 pint vanilla ice cream as desired

Preparation / Directions:

Preheat fan forced oven to 180 degrees celcius and place bananas on a baking tray still in their skins into the oven. This will take 10 minutes or until the skins are black and the bananas are soft. Meanwhile, combine butter, cream and sugar in a small saucepan and wait for sugar to dissolve. Simmer uncovered for two mintues. When bananas are done, split down the middle and pour over the caramel sauce and add ice cream as desried. :)
