Pears And Apples Au Vin

Ingredients:


1/2 Cup dry white wine

1 cup orange juice

1/2 Teaspoon orange zest -- grated

1/4 Cup chopped dates

1/2 Cup raisins

2 medium tart apples -- peeled, cored and cut into 3/4 inch pieces

2 medium pears -- cored and cut into

1 cup seedless grapes -- halved
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine first 3 ingredients in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Simmer 15-20 minutes or until reduced by half. Stir in dates and raisins. Simmer 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Combine next 3 ingredients in a serving bowl. Pour hot juice mixture over fruit and toss. Chill at least 30 minutes. Toss before serving.
