Cranberry Applesauce

Ingredients:

4 large apples -- peel/core/chop
1 Cup Fresh Cranberries
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Water
3 pieces Cinnamon Stick
1 piece Lemon Zest 3 Inch Strip
 

Preparation / Directions:

In a heavy saucepan, cooke all the ingredients over moderate heat, stirring, for 15 minutes, or until apples are very soft. Discard the cinnamon stick and lemon zest. Force the mixture through a food mill. Makes about 3 cups. 175 cal. per 1/2 cup
