Ingredients:

1 recipe basic sugar cookie dough
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips -- melted and cooled
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 cup candied cherries -- chopped
 

Preparation / Directions:

Beat chips and almond extract into dough. Stir in candied cherries. Pat dough into greased 13x9 inch pan. Bake 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool. Drizzle with melted chocolate and decorate with red candied cherry pieces. Cut into 2 inch diamonds.
