Apple Crisp

1 kilograms apple slices
150 grams sugar
100 grams flour
5 milliliter baking powder
4 milliliter salt
1 large egg
70 grams solid shortening (e.g. Crisco)
2 1/2 milliliter cinnamon

Preparation / Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 175 øC . 2. Fill a greased baking dish (approximately 13x22 cm with the apple slices. 3. Mix together with fork until crumbly the sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and egg. Sprinkle over apples. 4. Melt the shortening, cool slightly and pour over apple-flour mixture. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake 30-40 minutes at 175 øC . Serve with vanilla ice cream. Author's Notes: I got this recipe from Marsha Foregger. It's very easy and makes a yummy dessert. I usually sprinkle some raisins and walnut halves in among the apple sli
