Yera Varuval (Fried Prawns)

Ingredients:


12 medium prawns

1 teaspoon salt to taste

1 medium lemon -- juice of

1 teaspoon red chile paste

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

1 Cup oil
 

Preparation / Directions:


CLEAN, shell and devein the prawns. Mix all the remaining ingredients, except oil, and apply it to the prawns. Keep aside for half an hour to marinate. Heat oil in a shallow pan and fry the prawns four at a time. Cook for three minutes, remove and drain. Serve hot, garnished with rings of onions and fried curry leaves.
