Ingredients:


3 pounds ground beef

1 cup chopped onion

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1 1/2 cups ketchup

1 cup chopped green sweet pepper

1/2 cup water

4 tablespoons prepared mustard

4 tablespoons vinegar

4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

3 teaspoons chili powder

1 package hamburger buns
 

Preparation / Directions:


In a large skillet brown ground beef, onion, and garlic. Cook until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat. In any size Crock-Pot, combine ketchup, green sweet pepper, water, brown sugar, mustard, vinegar, Worchestershire sauce, and chili powder. Stir in meat mixture. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours or HIGH 3 to 4 hours. Spoon into hamburger buns. Variation: Substitute ground turkey, chicken, or pork in place of the ground beef.
