5 pounds roast -- i have used all kinds
1/2 teaspoon red pepper
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 cup water

Preparation / Directions:

cook on low in crockpot for 18 hours<--yes 18 hours shread before serving. I use an old hand potato masher. I also add fresh onion and green pepper slices about 1 hour before eating and serve on grilled hoagie rolls. Tonight I am making onion blossoms with them and my family will think they are eating out. Lucky for me I have friends who own a restaurant right behind my house and I use all of thier restaurant equipment. Tonight I will use thier deep fryer for the blossoms. Notes: My family loved the garden chowder, I have made it twice using different ingredients both times, it just depended on what was ready in the garden. Here is one of my familys favorites, Its cooking right now and the smell is making me hungry. It can be made in the summer since it is made in a crockpot.
