Preparation / Directions:
In a large bowl cream together the butter and sugar. Add the egg and mix
thoroughly. Stir in the water and vanilla. Add the flour, cinnamon, baking
soda, and oats, and mix well. Roll into 1 1/2 inch balls and place them on
a
cookie sheet. Flatten each to 2 inches in diameter. Arrange the cookies 1
inch apart. Bake at 350 F for 15 minutes. The edges will be done, but the
centers will still be soft. Cool on racks. Makes 2 dozen.
Variation: Add 1 cup raisins, chocolate chips, or MandMs to this recipe.
