Ginger Molasses Crinkles

Ingredients:


2/3 Cup vegetable oil or cooled -- melted butter

1 Teaspoon dried ginger (or oriental ginger paste -- (1 to 2) for more zing)

1 cup sugar

1/4 Cup molasses

1 large egg

2 Cups unbleached white flour

2 Teaspoons baking soda

1 dash salt

1 tablespoons sugar for tossing cookies
 

Preparation / Directions:


Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix ingredients in above order. Break off golf ball sized pieces. Round out and roll in sugar. Place on baking sheet. Bake 12-14 minutes.
