Frozen Hot Chocolate

3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
1 cup dark corn syrup -- up to 4
1 cup sugar -- up to 3
3 cups milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 pint whipped cream
1 pieces shaved chocolate

Preparation / Directions:

1. Melt chocolate in saucepan with corn syrup and sugar; add milk slowly and stir until well mixed. (This takes a long time.) 2. Turn off heat; add vanilla. 3. Pour into metal pan or bowl and place in freezer; when solid, scrape into bowl of a blender or food processor, and turn until well blended. (Do not allow mixture to liquefy.) 4. Pour into chilled glasses or mugs, top with whipped cream and shaved chocolate, and serve with a straw.
