4 medium western winter pears
2 tablespoons corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter
2 ounces semisweet chocolate

Preparation / Directions:

1. Core and slice pears into wedges; arrange slices in sherbet glasses or individual compotes. 2. Melt together butter, corn syrup and chocolate; drizzle warm chocolate sauce over pears.
