1/2 pound lean pork
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sherry
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
1 teaspoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Preparation / Directions:

Cut pork into 2x1-inch strips. In a medium bowl, toss pork strips with soy sauce, sherry, sugar, salt, five-spice powder, and cornstarch until evenly coated. Let stand 10 minutes. In a wok, heat oil over high heat until smoking. Add pork and stir-fry until done, about 3 or 4 minutes. Source: Lisa Clarke (based on a recipe from 365 Ways to Cook Chinese) Neil brought home some leftover hot and sour soup, and some crispy Chinese noodles on Friday, so last night, I whipped up this, and some rice to go with everything. It was quite good, and also very simple.
