Classic Chili

Ingredients:


1/4 cup oil

2 cups onion minced

2 cloves garlic

2 pounds lean ground beef

2 cans mexican tomatoes

1 can black beans

2/3 cup chopped peanuts

4 tablespoons tomato paste

3 tablespoons chili powder

1 teaspoon salt and black pepper

1 teaspoon cumin seed

1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

1 teaspoon chopped peanuts

1 teaspoon grated cheese
 

Preparation / Directions:


Saute onion and garlic in hot oil in Dutch oven over medium-high heat until tender. Add beef and brown. Stir in tomatoes, beans, peanuts, tomato paste, chili powder, salt, black pepper, cumin and hot sauce. Reduce heat. Simmer until thickened. Stir occasionally. Serve topped with peanuts and cheese. Approximately 10-12 minutes.
