Baked Chicken and Pasta Milano

1 jar garlic and basil or -- (25 oz.)
1 jar mushroom and onion pasta sauce
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste
4 tablespoons shredded mozzarella or 4 slices
1 package mozzarella cheese
1 package cooked spinach pasta or desired pasta for
1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms -- (about 4 oz.)
4 medium chicken breast fillets -- (about 1 1/4 pounds)

Preparation / Directions:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Spray 9-by-13-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray. Spread 2 cups of sauce in bottom of pan. Sprinkle mushrooms over the sauce. Cover breasts with wax paper and pound lightly. Sprinkle tops with basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Place in sauce. Spread remaining 1 cup of sauce over chicken. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes, or until almost cooked through. Top breasts with cheese and bake 3 to 4 more minutes, or until cheese is melted. Serve with pasta.
