Chili Con Queso - Carolyn

Ingredients:


2 tablespoons butter

1 medium onion -- , chopped

1 large garlic bud -- , thru garlic press

1 can green chili peppers -- , chopped

1 can evaporated milk

1 pound american process cheese -- , 3/4-in. cubes

16 ounces tomato and green chilies -- , cut up in can

4 dashes tabasco sauce -- to taste

1 teaspoon accent seasoning mix -- to taste

1 teaspoon salt -- to taste
 

Preparation / Directions:


Melt butter in top of double boiler or in bowl in microwave oven. Add onion and garlic. Cook until limp; then add remaining ingredients. Cook until thick. Serve with tortilla chips. Serve in chafing dish to keep hot.
