Breakfast Casserole - Manna and Memories

Ingredients:


12 Large hard cooked eggs -- sliced

2 pounds bacon

3 cups crushed potato chips

1/4 cup chopped onion

4 tablespoons butter

4 tablespoons flour

3 cups milk

1/2 pound grated cheddar cheese
 

Preparation / Directions:


Cook onion in butter; blend in flour well. Add milk; cook until thickened. Add cheese; stir until it melts. Fry bacon until crisp, then break into crumbles. In deep dish, layer 1/2 of eggs, 1/2 of bacon, 1/2 of chips and 1/2 of cheese sauce. Repeat, us- ing remaining ingredients. Cover; bake at 350F for 40 to 45 mm- May be served immediately, but is better if served the next morning. If refrigerated, reheat until bubbly, about 30 minutes at 300F.
