Preparation / Directions:
Butter sides of 2 quart saucepan. In it combine sugar, corn syrup, water,
and salt. Cook and stir until sugar dissolves and mixture reaches boiling
point. Cook to hard ball stage, 250, while stirring; remove from heat.
Meanwhile, beat egg whites to soft peaks; gradually add gelatin, beating to
soft peaks. Add vanilla and slowly pour hot syrup over egg mixture,
beating constantly with mixer on high speed until soft peaks form and the
mixture starts to lose its gloss. Stir in nuts and put into BUTTERED egg
