1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon gelatin
7 tablespoons water

Preparation / Directions:

Boil sugar and water until it spins a thread. While sugar is boiling, melt in water. Pour boiled syrup over gelatin, keep beating until white and holds shape, add vanilla. Pour in pan, greased and covered with XXXX sugar. When stiff cut in squares and roll in sugar (powdered).
