5 2/3 cups white wheat flour
2 1/2 cups butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 dash powdered cardamom -- or more to taste
3/4 cup pistachio nuts, pine nuts or sesame seeds -- approximately

Preparation / Directions:

Beat the sugar and butter until it appears pale in color. Sift together the flour and cardamom and add gradually to the creamed sugar mixture. Shape into balls and decorate with sesame seeds, pistachios or pine nuts. Bake until golden on the bottom. Variation: You can use the ready cookies (It would be better if you had stuffed each one with a roasted pistachio) in making some chocolate cups. You put each cookie in a small paper liner cup (small cupcake paper) and you cover it with melted chocolate. Sprinkle the top with finely ground pistachios.
