Ingredients:

1 cup sugar
1 cup butter or margarine -- (1/2 lb.)
1 tablespoon corn syrup
3 tablespoons water
3/4 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup chocolate chips -- up to 1/2
 

Preparation / Directions:

Mix first 4 ingredients. Cook until candy thermometer registers 290 degrees. Pour in buttered platter or pan. Place nuts over top of candy and then sprinkle chocolate chips over all. Do this immediately while candy is hot so chocolate will melt. Store cracked pieces that are completely cooled in airtight container in cool place. This will prevent granulation.
