Preparation / Directions:
Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine next 4 ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Combine molasses and baking soda; add to creamed mixture. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Pour batter into a greased and floured 9-x5-x3-inch loafpan. Bake at 300ø for 1 hour and 40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Refrigerate cake for easier slicing.
