Ingredients:


1 cup yellow cornmeal

1 cup water

1/4 cup flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 large egg

3/4 cup milk

1/2 cup butter
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine cornmeal and boiling water in a bowl allow to stand for 10 minutes add flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, egg, and milk-mix well to make a very thin batter drop batter by tablespoonsful onto a greased hot griddle or skillet heat until bubbles come up and browned on one side turn and brown on the other side remove to a heated plate repeat with remaining batter serve warm, with butter
