1 1/2 sticks butter
1 package light brown sugar
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon soda
2 whole beaten eggs
1 cup buttermilk

Preparation / Directions:

Mix butter, brown sugar and flour. Take out one cup and save. Add cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and soda. Add 2 beaten eggs. When moistened, add 1 cup buttermilk. Pour into an 11 x 13-inch greased and floured pan. Sprinkle cup you saved on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
