Fruit Cocktail Cake

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups self-rising flour
2 large eggs
1 can fruit cocktail -- undrained
1 1/2 teaspoons soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup nuts
---frosting...
1 stick margarine melted
1/2 cup canned milk
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup moist coconut
 

Preparation / Directions:

Combine first 6 ingredients. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle top with brown sugar and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees until done. FROSTING: Melt 1 stick margarine, 1/2 cup canned milk, and 3/4 cup sugar. Bring to a boil for 2 minutes. Poke holes in top of cake, Sprinkle with moist coconut and pour hot mixture on top.
