Fake Tiramisu

2 large egg yolks
1/4 cup sugar
8 ounces cream cheese
1/4 cup galliano
1/4 cup sherry
1 1/2 cups 35%-real whipping cream
1/2 cup hot water add
1 teaspoon instant coffee and
1/2 package instant hot chocolate and
1/4 cup kalua
1 ounce good brandy or cognac.
1 package thin sliced pound or sponge cake -- 1/4 inch-thick slices
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate -- finely chopped

Preparation / Directions:

In hot water mix coffee and cocoa, disolve real well..add to it Kalua and brandy or cognac. Set aside. Beat egg yolks with sugar until light, beat in Galliano and Sherry, cook this mixture gently in a double boiler, stirring constantly, until thickened. Cool. Beat cream cheese until smooth and then slowly add the cooled egg mixture. Next whip the whipping cream until light and gently fold into the egg cream cheese mixture. Line a "glass loaf pan"(5x9) with a thin layer of the cake, drizzle with half the coffee mixture. Spread half of the filling on top of the soaked cake. Repeat layer of cake..remaining coffee mixture,s preading remaining whipping cream filling and top with the finely chopped chocolate !!Cover it with wax paper, refrigerate, Serve the next day!! Well with all that booze no one knew the difference !!!!!!!!This serves about 6 people with large helpings or 8 people with normal servings!
