Eggless, Milkless, Butterless Cake

Ingredients:


1 cup brown sugar

1 cup water

1 1/2 cups raisins

1/3 cup shortening

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/3 teaspoon cloves

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon soda
 

Preparation / Directions:


Boil first 7 ingredients together for 3 minutes. Let cool, then add soda, dissolved in a little warm water. Add the flour which has been sifted with the baking powder. Bake in a loaf pan at 350ΓΈ for 30 minutes.
