Cranberry Cottage Cake

Ingredients:

1 cup cranberries -- chopped
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons shortening
1/2 cup milk
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
---Cranberry Cake Sauce
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 cups cranberry juice cocktail
1/4 cup butter
 

Preparation / Directions:

Cake: Sprinkle cranberries with 1/4 cup sugar. Combine biscuit mix, flour, and th 1/2 cup sugar, stir in shortening, milk, egg and vanilla till smooth. Stir in cranberries. Pour into greased pan 9x9x2. Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350ΓΈ. Cake sauce Combine sugar, cornstarch, and cranberry juice cocktail. Cook, stir until thickened. Cook 2 min. more. Stir in butter til melted.
