Chocolate Chip Cake

Ingredients:


3/4 Cup shortening

1 Cup sugar

2 Whole eggs

1 Teaspoon vanilla

1 Tablespoon Margarine

3 Tablespoons cocoa powder

1 Cup hot water

1 3/4 Cups flour

1/2 Teaspoon salt

1 Teaspoon baking soda

1 Package chocolate chips

1/2 Cup nuts

1/2 Cup powdered sugar
 

Preparation / Directions:


Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and vanilla; beat thorougly. Melt chocolate in hot water over low heat; cool slightly. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in dry ingredients. Pour into baking pan. Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over batter and bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Sift powdered sugar over cake while warm.
